Nassau County new foreclosures increase 208% during Q1 2009 – Compared to Q1 2008
(203), new foreclosures in Nassau County (626) went up 208%. Since Q4 2008 (443), new foreclosures have
gone up 41%.
High foreclosure rate in Nassau Villages – Westbury had a rate of one in every 113 homes
scheduled for auction, Hempstead (village) had one in every 237 homes scheduled, and Freeport

most new foreclosures in Suffolk County. Wyandanch, Mastic, and Patchogue had very high foreclosure rates.
Wyandanch had a rate of one in every 281 homes scheduled for auction. The rate was one in every 495 homes in
Mastic, and one in every 512 homes in Patchogue.
